I partner with presses and agencies to guide manuscripts—both idea-driven nonfiction and literary or genre fiction—through big-picture planning, structural refinement, and line-level polish, helping each book become a coherent, compelling, and fully realized work.

What I Do

  • Book Coaching: Guide authors through the full arc of their project, from concept to draft, helping them clarify goals, develop a workflow, and stay creatively accountable.

  • Developmental Editing: Shape manuscripts at the conceptual, structural, and narrative levels to make them coherent and compelling.

  • Line & Copyediting: Refine prose, clarity, and style while preserving the author’s voice and vision.​

Process & Rates: Every project is different, and so is every author, so the best way for me to know how to help you is through a free initial consultation, which may include a sample edit. This also lets me estimate how many hours the work will take and provide a clear, customized plan. I charge by the hour and keep careful track of the time I spend.
